Beyond the Basics

Next Session: Tuesdays, July 31-September 11, 2012. This is the only Beyond The Basics workshop of 2012!

This 7 week workshop is the much requested follow up class to our Digital Photography 101 workshop. In Beyond the Basics you’ll build on the knowledge you have and learn how to use Adobe Lightroom to manage your post-production workflow, you’ll be introduced to new storytelling techniques, you’ll join your classmates on three location shoots, learn more about light and advanced metering techniques.

Beyond the Basics is being taught by Mark Wallace. Because half of the workshop will be taught on location we wanted to insure that every student had plenty of time with the instructor. We are limiting the class to 10 students to make sure everyone gets plenty of personal attention.

Week One
Introduction to story telling and mixed media.
Lightroom: The Library Module

Week Two

Session wrap up

Note: we are currently scouting locations for the on location weeks. All locations will be close to central phoenix to allow students from all valley cities to attend.

Prerequisites: This is an advanced class, it was created as follow up to Digital Photography 101. If you haven’t attended that class but are still interested in attending you should have an understanding of your camera’s functions, elements of composition, and light. You must have a Digital SLR camera. A tripod and flash are highly recommended. Adobe Lightroom is not required for the workshop but it is highly recommended (you’ll love it).

Class meets from 6:00pm to approximately 9:00pm.
